How Inventta Limited handles personal data sent through this website.

1. Who we are
This website, inventta.org, is operated by Inventta Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, of Unit 1304 Two Harbourfront, 22 Tak Fung Street, Hunghom, Hong Kong ("Inventta", "we", "us"). Inventta Limited is the data user responsible for personal data collected through this website, under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong (the "PDPO").
2. What personal data we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your company, phone number and country.
- Emails and phone calls: the details you choose to send us when you contact one of our offices directly.
- Server logs: like most websites, our web host automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are used only to run and protect the website.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from our own web host. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp and inventtaenergy.com take you to third-party websites with their own privacy policies.
3. Why we use it
We use the data you send us to answer your enquiry, prepare quotations and supply proposals, and keep in contact with you about that enquiry or any resulting order. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for direct marketing unless you have given us your consent.
4. Who may receive it
Your enquiry may be shared within the Inventta group where needed to answer it: our procurement office in Shanghai, our Johannesburg office and Inventta Energy Zambia Limited in Lusaka. It may also be processed by our service providers for web hosting and email, and by our professional advisers where required. Some of these are outside Hong Kong (including in mainland China, South Africa, Zambia, Europe and the United States). We expect them to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purposes above. We will also disclose personal data where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes above, including any resulting contract and our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted when no longer needed.
6. Security
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and we take reasonable practical steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPO you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to request a copy of it (a data access request), and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate (a data correction request). We may charge a fee for complying with a data access request, as permitted by the PDPO. You can also ask us to stop using your data for direct marketing at any time.
